Bluford came from a very wealthy family, heavily invested in the tech industry. His father was part psychologist, part algorithm developer, heavily entrenched in social media and advertising and his mother worked in UI design. Both were incredibly involved in stock and cryptocurrency markets and were early investors in several booming companies, which they exited at their peak. He has therefore never wanted for money, and though already talented at programming, was enrolled in a degree course which he found rather tedious and simple. With plenty of free time, he investigated an internship and found one interested in his sleep disorder.

And found something much more interesting on the other side.

Mrost is an inquisitive creature, always looking to learn more about the world around him and the nightmare tree. Typically, Mrost is generally agreeable but he can have a surprising turn of temper when crossed and can hold grudges for an exceptionally long time.

He is good at keeping secrets and when cornered, is able to put on a very convincing idiot act.

Melvin - Mrost met Melvin in a postal kingdom and he was one of the first stygian he'd met at all in his travels, he seemed intelligent and oddly human, something which Mrost honestly hadn't expected. He hopes to learn more from interacting with him further.

Shapeshifting and ever changing

Mrost is strongly drawn to dreams and nightmares about deep water and literal diving, over and over again. It might be related to some kind of trauma in his own life, but he doesn't retain enough in his nightmare disguise to recall if this is the case


Mrost obtained his labyrinth corruption from the strange event where he followed a thread into the depths and now it pursues him in his waking life.
