General Notes
- Alternate Subspecies Forms (Alt-sub or alt forms for short) allow you to give your Stygian another form that can be another subspecies. It can also give you the same subspecies but with different traits.
- Alternate forms can be used interchangably in any quest!
- There is no limit to the number of alternate forms a Stygian can have.
- A character's overall rarity (used for battle stats) will always default to the highest rarity among their alt forms!
- When blessing Guardian MYOs you can choose which alt form will bless the new jar. Only that alt form's subspecies and traits will influence the new guardian stygian.
- Atlernate Forms should always be recognizable as that particular character as they are always the same character across all their alt forms.
- Alt forms can have up to a 20% difference in colouration/markings from the Stygian's first (orginal) form. The character should be recoginzable as themselves at a glance.
- Base colours should remain the same!
- Alternate Subspecies Forms can be given to any Stygian! They can also be given to Treatlings and Divers as extra Stygian Disguise forms.
- Treatlings have specific rules for their Stygian Disguise forms, please refer to their lore guides for information!
- Treatlings can recieve alternate Treatling (and attached Treat) forms using a Treatling Alt Sub ticket.
- Divers also have specific Stygian Disguise rules for their disguise forms, please refer to their lore for more information.
- Diver Disguise forms can never be of a higher rarity than the Diver Form itself! So a Diver cannot have a rare rarity disguise if they have not leveled up to the rare level themselves. (Divers can earn upgrade tickets through their unique job skill!)
- Stygian rarity is decided either by subspecies or by traits! For traits: 2 uncommon traits = uncommon rarity; 1 rare trait = uncommon rarity; 2 rare traits = rare rarity; and 1 legendary trait = demigod rarity.
- Shadowweaving traits do NOT affect rarity. Nor does the Diver disguise required Anomalous trait.
Alternate Forms and Traits
- Traits do not carry over to a Stygian's alternate forms. Each alternate form will start with the default traits for that subspecies. Any extra traits will need to be added with potions.
- This includes Guardian traits. Each form would need it's own Guaridan Contract (or the Primordial Trait) and Guaridan Trait Potion to add a Guardian Trait.
- The exception to the above is Legendary Traits. Most legendary traits can be carried over to alternate forms for free. There are some legendary traits that do not carry over (such as [++]), please see the individual traits for more information.
