The Stygian
Hebo is a quite cunning and devious Stygian; most things he does is for his own gain and doesn’t mind tricking others if it means he gets what he wants. Even so, Hebo is still willing to help those who have earned his trust and are closest to him. He’s lucky in his own right but bad luck tends to follow Hebo, affecting those around him. While Hebo doesn’t have a massive ego, he surely takes pride in how little effort it takes to sway others in his favor and to his advantage. He also has quite a collection of various oddities and rarities that he displays within his home. Hebo very rarely lets others come to his kingdom, but know if you are allowed entry, he has come to consider you someone he can trust.
The Nightmare
Hebo was born from a nightmare of False Luck; imagine being surrounded by things commonly associated with luck but these things are never as they appear or are intended to be. What looks like a four-leaf clover is actually a poisonous breed of plant that is irritating to touch, lucky bamboo turns into a tar trap when uprooted, a rabbit’s foot found to be overrun with maggots and stinking of decay upon closer inspection, and many more similar instances. Luck can be a cruel and lesser experienced influence of occurrences so sometimes it might be beneficial to look a gift horse in the mouth; just be careful not to get bit in the process.
