Antares is a Stygian of few words. Even toward his fathers, Aldebaran (D-126) and Halphas (MYO-115), he doesn't speak. 

In his domain, words are powerful, and every word used is power wasted.

So he bides his time and conserves his energy. To be spoken to by him is either a sign that he truly cares about you, or that he despises you greatly. 

Antares' scythe, Lesath, is an animate weapon with a voice of its own. It has a telepathic bond with Antares and often speaks for him. This isn't to say that it doesn't put its own spin on what he has to say sometimes... Be aware that Lesath likes to play pranks in poor taste.

Antares designated α Scorpii (Latinised to Alpha Scorpii, abbreviated Alpha Sco, α Sco), is on average the fifteenth-brightest star in the night sky, and the brightest object in the constellation of Scorpius. Distinctly reddish when viewed with the naked eye, Antares is a slow irregular variable star that ranges in brightness from apparent magnitude +0.6 to +1.6. Often referred to as "the heart of the scorpion", Antares is flanked by σ Scorpii and τ Scorpii near the center of the constellation.
