tell him to sew a shirt made of silk
thyme and Rosemary are there with you
without touching the shirt with the yarn
through this, he can see his love again
will you go to the lake with me today
thyme and Rosemary are there with you
greet the girl at the shore for me
she was my love, but I had to leave…
tell him to wait on the clearing
thyme and Rosemary are there with you
to halt between shore and waves with might
through this, he can see his love again
he has to seed peppercorn through all land
thyme and Rosemary are there with you
and wrap the harvest with ropes of erica
through this, he can see his love again
Thymian is a nightmare from a young lost man, who yearns to find his ever-beauty love again. He left her with an open promise of marriage, but when he returned, she had passed away from a sudden illness. Her last days were spent treating her with herbs, Thyme and rosemary.
She treated people from her village with a variety of herbs and was always seen wandering the woods and along the shore, waiting through the water to collect the right herbs for treatments.
His nightmare brings him back to a clearing next to a forest with a large lake, her standing in the water, looking at him with a smile but empty eyes, before disappearing behind a thick wall of mist. His cries and screams are left unheard, as he tries to run after her, but slowly drowns. When all hope is lost, thyme appears to grow from the bottom of the lake, glowing faintly.
As he swims back to shore, following the herbs, he can make out a faint glowing in the distance. Thymian arises from among the herbs at the shore, breathing slowly at him. She turns and walks calmly deeper into the forest, the young following close behind. They reach another clearing with utter calmness, no sounds, as if time stopped for the moment.
When Thymian stops at a large moss-overgrown stone, waving her tail over it carefully to signal him to come closer.
Initials carved into the stone. "Thyme and Rosemary are with you, my love. Through them, I will see you again." - Until then, Rosemary
And he realized, she was gone for good. She had left for a better place, but she also left her dearest precious gift behind. Thyme and Rosemary.
