A persistent dream, drawing on the desires of the slumbering for fun and adventure, and maybe even some romance, within the hallways of a school setting. Actual classes play no part in these dreams - who has time for that when you can be exploring instead? There's a mystery to solve in this school, and together with friends, real or imagined, you'll tackle it. And maybe even, confess to a special someone...? Anything could happen here!

Not long after he began to drift outside his own realm, Somnia stumbled upon a lost Treat that very quickly warmed up to him and refused to leave his side. With a soft spot for fluffy things that the tiny Treat happily exploited, he took her into his care and (given Somnia's difficulties speaking) gave her the simple name of 'Rui'. It would only be a few months later that the fluffball would be given back her sentience and nearly give Somnia a heart attack upon returning.

Even after transforming back, Rui kept the name he gave her, deciding to leave the past in the past and stay with her best friend in his realm (Lunera likes to joke she should probably be paying rent). Rui was a mischeivous, playful soul as a Treat, and little has changed since becoming a Treatling. Adventure awaits! And Somnia is resigned to his fate of dealing with his high-energy friend.

Castle: The School of Adventure

Rui's castle is an extravagant school building, filled with endless rooms and hallways. All dreams take place within the building and school grounds, though if you were to look out the windows, you'd find the outdoor setting changes with each - from forests to cities, even to space! These surroundings color the theme of whatever 'adventure' the dreamer is in for that night. The general 'plot beats' of each dream are relatively similar though - there is something more to the school than at first meets the eye, and it is up to the dreamer and their friends to attempt to solve it - though it rarely ever is...

The appearances of fellow students are taken from the dreamer's memories, though this means that they can range from real persons to fantasy characters. Throughout the dream, the adventures serve to help the dreamer bond to these 'friends', and one will always become particularly closer than the rest. The dream culminates into a celebration of Valentine's Day at the school, where the dreamer attempts to confess to that particular person after several antics that delay their them.

Whether or not the dreamer succeeds or not is left up to chance, though usually they fail to, waking up before anything can be resolved, mystery or confession.

What a cliffhanger of an ending to this dating sim...wait, what?
