A nightmare of a chase to protect something held dear. Driving through the night, down dark roads, through the woods...arriving at a crescent lake bathed in moonlight. A scuffle, a splash, and then all that surrounds is the endless dark of the lake depths, sinking in the murky silence...before the water comes alive with hundreds of glowing, silver-white jellyfish. It is as beautiful as it is deadly...and the item you have tried so hard to guard? It's sinking into the depths still, beyond the eerie light...you dive down after it...into the dark...endless dark...

About

A spunky and proud Stygian whose Kingdom resides 'next' to Somnia's, making them 'neighbors' of sorts. Rui, in her efforts to get Somnia to start meeting other Stygian, used the idea of getting to know his neighbors to have him take these first steps - and that first neighbor was Lunera. She quite happily introduced herself in turn and, having always been curious about the Stygian who had never showed himself before, befriended him to boot.

Lunera was soon caught up in their adventures, joining them and Saudade to form a team to tackle the battle zones and broaden her own horizons. She wants for little, beyond an interesting adventure here and there, which she always tackles with confidence. She is quite content with her life now as it is, part of Somnia's friend circle and her kingdom housed within his. She contents herself caring for her Floresce, the ocean garden, and a newly appeared Treat she named 'Ceru' (short for Cerulean, to account for Somnia's speech) who is also quite interested in the garden...

Kingdom: The Crescent Lake

Lunera's kingdom is a forest blanketed in night, where a tire-marked path through the pines brings one to a crescent-shaped lake that perfectly reflects the night sky above. A small log cabin is set up near the end of the path, but it seems to be uninhabited - or perhaps, long abandoned. The lake waters are dark and deceptively much deeper than they appear - though there is a bottom eventually, no dreamer is ever able to reach it. There lies a collection of items lost to many a dreamer, and it is a collection Lunera peruses with great curiosity and guards zealously.

Within the nightmare, dreamers begin the venture within a van driving desperately down that worn path, knowing only that they are being pursued by figures who wish to steal something of great value to them. The item will always be one that the dreamer cherishes at that time. Sometimes they are accompanied by friends attempting to help them in their efforts, however futile. The darkness within the woods is stifling, barely affected by the van's headlights, before they come to the lake and moonlight washes over. But no matter how quickly you drive, your pursuers always catch up. Scrambling out of the van, you attempt to escape, but it will always come to a physical struggle that ends in the water.

And no matter how hard you try to hold on, that precious item is lost to the depths. You watch - for suddenly the darkness brightens as glowing white jellyfish, hundreds of them, begin to light up as they are disturbed by your arrival. And their light reveals that item, sinking further and further. You are compelled to follow, deeper and deeper...

But you never reach it.
