The Mage is a member of the Starbound Court, a group of Stygians and Treatlings who weave dreams and nightmares related to the stars and space. He is the current holder of the Seat of Gemini. As per court custom, he is known by his title instead of a name.

He is rather playful and casual, which also serves as a front for his mastery over illusion magic. His cheerfulness helps to encourage and inspire optimism in those who need it. He doesn't discriminate against others regardless of their origins, which lets him meet many allies on his travels. 

He is also a skillful potion maker, though only he knows if his works are the genuine article or a placebo with similar effect.
