Hong is the embodiment of the lost possibilities of human flight. He takes the form reminiscent of a plane whose life was cut short by misfortune. He carries those shattered hopes in his heart and dreams of spreading the joy of aviation far and wide. His kingdom, the Nightmare Interkingdom Airport, is a manifestation of that dream. He sees himself as just one of the many pilots of NIA, preferring to hide the fact that he is the owner of the place. 

The Nightmare Interkingdom Airport (NIA) serves as a transit hub for all who wish to travel regardless of their origins, as long as they do not try to interfere with the airport's operations. The airport itself and all amenities are staffed by phantoms which resemble sheetghosts. They can be identified by their hat or a name tag that describes their occupation. All types of aircraft are manifested within the kingdom, ferrying ghostly and corporeal passengers to whatever destination they wish to go to. Lingering in the kingdom is also an option, whether to wait for a friend, use the facilities at the airport, or just to watch the planes go by.

Stygians who are interested in collaborating with NIA can acquire a landing beacon from the information counter, free of charge. When placed in a Nightmare Kingdom by its owner, the beacon will transform to fit the architecture of the kingdom, usually as some form of flag or signpost and an accompanying runway. Waiting at the beacon with the intent of traveling will manifest a portal to NIA, followed by an aircraft arriving to take the passenger to NIA itself.

Hong himself is a regular pilot for Stygianair, whether flying an aircraft or transforming into one himself. He is a cheerful and enthusiastic youth, always looking on the bright side of things with a go-getter attitude. He is rather selfless, offering NIA's services without expecting repayment, and willing to help those in need. However, he can be very scary when angered, as befitting the other side of his nightmare.

A. T. Chester (T-826) is his colleague and good friend in the aviation business (as much as it is a free-of-charge service business). While the Queen's influence prevents him from ever expanding into Treatropolis, he will offer their services to any Treatling who wishes to fly with him.
