Okay, old man lol. No but for real gaslight gatekeep girlboss~ Waltz (though some whispers in his office enunciate the syllables differently) is so efficient at maintaining his ship that even his employees have trouble telling what's real and what's a guise to keep them in line. Manipulative in the gentlest of senses - why threaten when you can buy your way into love? Adoration can be used as a weapon too and through his spectral abilities Waltz reanimates the condensed, nightmarish bones in his closet that he's "borrowed" throughout the ages to convince the vulnerable. It is unknown whether his actions are under the influence of the Labyrinth entirely or if he is working symbiotically alongside it... but in the end would it even matter?
